Listen to Music! Naxos Music Library

Posted by UCSB Libraries on January 26, 2007

Naxos Music Library gives you online access to nearly 200,000 tracks of classical music, from medieval chant through the latest works from the twentieth-first century, as well as some jazz, world, folk, and Chinese music. The database includes the entire catalog of Naxos and nearly fifty other labels. UCSB students, faculty, and staff can listen from any computer on campus, or off campus using the library’s proxy server or VPN.

Also new is a related listening database, Naxos Music Library Jazz, which contains nearly 20,000 tracks of jazz, blues, and R&B from over 1,900 albums featuring over 500 artists. Included is the entire Naxos Jazz catalog, as well as the 22 labels of Fantasy Jazz.

You can search or browse for your favorite music in both databases. But stay tuned! Coming soon, both databases will be searchable through Pegasus, the catalog of the UCSB Libraries, with links directly to the music.
